Strength Training Coach

Our sessions are led by Chris Wilson – a chartered physiotherapist and strength training coach with over 15 years experience of working in elite sport. Chris advises and develops sports people in injury prevention & rehabilitation, performance testing, strength training and running programmes. Chris’s knowledge of human anatomy and how it adapts to training load and performance has enabled him to create bespoke athlete training packages that deliver results for his clients.

As a keen runner himself, Chris uses strength training to complement his own training. Research has shown that strength training can reduce the risk of overuse injury by almost 50%.

What is strength training?

Strength training prepares the body and mind to succeed. It differs from personal training in that it is sport-specific, rather than just general fitness training. Our strength training programmes provide you with access to our state of the art gymnasium in Sutton Coldfield, and advice and support from our physiotherapist and strength training coach.

Utilising top of the range sports analysis software, our strength training coach will assess factors such as your age, gender, existing fitness levels and training objectives, to create a bespoke training programme that delivers results.

Strength Training Packages with React Physiotherapy range from a single consultation, to six or 12-week programmes, depending on your individual requirements.
